The latest batch of bands are in, and this year’s Vans Warped Tour is shaping-up to be quite an event. Well, if you enjoy metalcore that is. Bands announced tonight (2/1) that should be hitting Detroit on Friday, July 19 at The Palace of Auburn Hills:
When you remove the bloat we are left with Forever Came Calling, a band that is a throwback to old A New Found Glory and Taking Back Sunday, and our metalcore twins: Memphis May Fire and Sleeping With Sirens. Both of former bands appeared on last year’s Warped Tour, and Sleeping With Sirens vocalist Kellin Quinn appeared on Memphis May Fire’s latest album and made cameo appearances during the tour to perform it live with the band. An additional note of interest is while Sleeping With Sirens is originally from Orlando, they have since settled in and are based out of Grand Rapids.
These bands join an already growing list of artists that includes Chiodos, We Came As Romans, I See Stars, The Black Dahlia Murder, Reel Big Fish, Hawthorne Heights, letlive, Architects, blessthefall, The Chariot, and many more. Additional bands will be announced next Friday.
